We turn 60

MARTINCOLOR was founded on December 8, 1964, by the photographer couple Barbara and Werner Martin. After six years in the New York photography scene, where they gained valuable experience and creative inspiration, the couple returned to Germany. In Frankfurt am Main, they realized their dream and opened their own studio for advertising photography. 

Their passion for color photography was something special at the time, as the technology was still in its infancy. The small photo studio gradually evolved into a powerful company that went far beyond traditional photography. New technologies were introduced, the range of services continuously expanded and the vision of two photographers grew into a family business with a future.

The values ​​that Barbara and Werner Martin established over 50 years ago – creativity, precision and the joy of visual design – are still deeply anchored in MARTINCOLOR's DNA and form the basis for what defines our company today.
